My first hunt of 2024

It was pretty cold here today, but I really wanted to test out my MXT with the new rechargeable batteries I bought this week. So decided to hit a small yard just up the road that I have hunted a few times. It is only about 50' x 75' and has only given up a few wheats and one mercury dime. But it was close by. My goal was to work the MXT (with 6" concentric) very slowly and hopefully sniff out just one more wheat cent. One more wheatie would have felt like a success in my mind. My goal of one more coin was not achieved,,,, but that's okay. I reckon I'll take a flat button and silver ring over a wheatie any day.

Very nice. I really like my MXT too.

Hard to detect thru the 18 inches of snow here. 😒Good finds anytime there.

Nice finds

Thanks.
Just slowed it down a lot, really making sure my swings were overlapping and only focusing on soft/muted tones, indicating depth.
