My First Gold Ring!!!

I am sooo excited - I found my first gold ring today with my Excalibur 800!! The ring is a 10k gold black onyx with a small stone in the middle!! I've only had the Excalibur a couple of weeks and I'm sure this ring isn't much to you veterans, but to me it was GREAT!!! I want to say a special thanks to Waterdog, VaBeachRon, and Gulf Hunter!!! I had read so many forums by Gulf Hunter I felt honored to get your reply! Thanks to all you guys!!! I'm still having trouble pinpointing in the water and this ring was found in a fresh water lake only about 20 minutes from home. Any help on pinpointing in the water would be greatly appreciated. I have a small hand scoop and a long handle scoop, and seem to be doing better with the hand scoop. This find was GREAT for me and guess what, my wife wants to keep the ring (imagine that)! Thanks again! You guys are great and the Excalibur 800 is the bomb! Happy Hunting!

That's a really nice way to start. I still have my first one from 30 years ago. Wasn't much, gold plated and the stone was missing but I was so excited about it I've always remembered the day I found it and will always keep it.

Before I left home she told me that she wants for her a gold if I find one. I promised stupid. It was the only day in my MDing life so far that I found gold (pendant) and had to give it to her because I promised stupid.

No more gold since then. And she does not ask any longer too bytheway! And she never asked before that !
