I think this is modern. Who loses a belt buckle?

Due to the color of the patina and the inlays of the earth, it does not seem modern.
 
did guys used mostly suspenders or bib overalls rather than buckles in the old days [~50's less] my Grampas did, rather than belt/buckles? I bet the most buckles we find our horses, I seldom have my pants fall off in the fields but bet horses used their leather belts a lot. I found several buckles too but Elmy got me thinking [my thinking is dangerous tho]
 
Check out all the buckles used to harness a horse to a wagon or farm equipment. Also, if no people used buckles in the old days, I guess the US and CS buckles are fake, just like shoe buckles. LOL
 
Cant tell size but younger boys used belts and buckles…….
