Your spot on, why do we need all the Bells/Whistles Etc, truth of the matter is most do not work the best, ive tried them. When we say Bare Bones i feel we are Selling Tesoro Short. But sad to say all the Bells/Whistles/Bullshit is the way of the future.A new guy buying a detector is so easy sold on the Bells /Whistles, sad one but Tesoro have to keep up and Develop new/Better Products for the Market, that have all the Bells/Whistles, hope no Bullshit.

My point exactly. Personally I like the simple beep and dig Tesoro's but as I mentioned in my ealier post- I see on a other forum new people joining daily and ask the same old question "What detector should I get" and 9 times out of 10 a number of people jump in and say get the Ace. Because the Ace is inexpensive has a meter,........ I do my best to try to convince them to get a Tesoro Silver uMax for about the same price but a much better detector by a long run. Some I convience most I do not.

So no matter what you or I like or what we know to be a fact for example how good Tesoro's work, the quality that goes into them, and the best support in the industry. The newbies still want an easy to use, inexpensive,no real heavy, detector with a display. And I would rather see a fine company like Tesoro reap the profits from such a machine. Steve.

I would love to have a Vaq or Tejon with 4 tones and adjustable freq. Doesnt have to have a meter. Now this is still keeping it simple in a world of bells and whistles. Ive never had or used a Minelab product but Ive read on various forums that the sucessful Explorer users rely on sound more than the meter. The only meter Ive grown to trust is the one on my XL Pro.
But can ya imagine tones and the ability to switch freqs on that excellent Tejon.
I agree with ya SkiWhiz, but maybe instead of a metered entry machine , maybe just tones added and keep it simple with factory ground. Then add tones and multi freq to the Tejon,
This was a fun read. Seeing what everyone would like and then someone pointing out the drawbacks, but its always fun to wish and hope.

For all top end detectors Careful what you wish for SkiWiz it might come true. I was on V/3 forum as i like to read of all detectors
A hunter using the coin sizing program saw a image that was bigger one way than the other . He decided to dig it and found a
silver coin up on its edge .THE MACHINES MIGHT GET TO SMART .LOL I posted to dig or not on this forum just thinking HH Mike

I like Tesoro the way they are. I am selling my DFX and have bought 3 different Tesoro's and love them! Keep doing what you are doing!!!
