[quote BarnacleBill]Same housing, different plastic color & sticker. I would not be surprised if they based it on the Eureka coil since that coil was a 6.4, 20 or 60 kHz based machine. The 20kHz frequency would be a good starting point to modify down to 18.75kHz, so that's smart design and manufacturing. Changing the plastic dye color was probably an effort to reduce confusion with dealers stocking coils for different models.

Injection plastics come in the color of choice, little BB's (there is no blending- no swirlies: no SPIN). I could be wrong, but I believe the coil housings are vacuum formed from sheet plastic (lighter and forms are inexpensive). All one has to do is have the color of plastic in the frame, heat it 'till it sags a little, and drop it on the forms. In both processes, there is no coloring of the plastic. It comes the way you order it ( this is important to the lowered expense of what kind of plastic you process, and simpler equipment). That is smart manufacturing.
The product is advertised with black coils, in fact the color scheme is black. That's the way they come and I am surprised there were not more blue coil owner posts in response to the 'Blue coil, BB ?'. So, please if you have one of these,..... step forward and help Bill out. Who has an early production Blue coil? There must be someone in the Midwest and West Coast that has one with low or no serial numbers to come to Bill's aid. How about other countries? Let's get all the wagons in a circle around Bill's Blue early production Coil. I think I saw one where the US ML rep was once.
