These are drops pictured. They are all CS issue. They are all 12 ga. for a double barrel rifle or shotgun. The first one mics at .692 and is .620 long and weighs 512. The next one mics at .678 and is .760 long and weighs 554. The last one mics .675 and is .595 long and weighs .460. they were all in paper cartridges. Hope this helps. Couldn't find anything on rifleing.

Are the pics actual CW bullets. I have never seen any like this before. I managed to dig a couple today and came in here to identify.

Is there anywhere to find out where these were made? I have found a site that has several hundred of these just laying around on the ground. Trying to determine why so many would be dropped? Was there a manufacturer of these types of slugs? The area I am hunting is known for CW and Rev War skirmishes, so I am trying to pinpoint what was happening that would make someone leave this many bullets dropped. Since it's not CW or Rev war type bullet sounds like I have my homework cut out! Any ideas that would get me headed in the right direction would be a big help! I'll try to post some pics of the bullets and a nice 1865 coin I found. It's just odd the coin would be along with these bullets. Thanks for your help!
