Most Unusual Shotgun Stamp

Guess the hunter was bored back in the early 1900s. Took time to do this to the Old Shotgun Willy. Was all the way around but the others broke off when I tried to straighten out

I've never seen a shell spread like that in a gun.
Proximity alarms do that. UMC stamp is interesting.
Here's a video of modern ones.
Though military versions are much more powerfully charged. Usually 6-8 grams of flashpowder.
Like an M1000 firecracker going off.

 
Dang! Never seen anything like it. I've dug literally hundreds of them, mostly old paper types. Looks like it was cut like that for a purpose, very neatly. Really got my interest up. Thanks Dank
 
If the primer has been removed, I would guess it has been repurposed for use as a canvas grommet or something similar.
