More river silver surface find 1909 barber.

The tides were good for a early morning hunt and I headed out at 7 low was about 9:30.
To started along a beach area going so with my recovery speed used to 7 on the manticore and quickly had my first mercury dime which they seemed to come up in twos near each other I went very slowly covering areas I’ve hit with the 800 and the site is loaded I mean loaded with old iron so you literally have to dig any good sound even one way because a lot of the coins are masked I don’t care what machine I’ve used it’s a dig all spot. I got a very rocky spot and found the 1909 barber on the surface between to rocks that’s why it’s still silver any of the tarnished silver was buried. The silver outnumber the wheats which is not uncommon in this spot also the lock was laying on the surface as were the old forks the mercury dimes are hard to see dates.
Thanks for looking good luck and try some water hunting.
Mark

The river that keeps on giving!! Incredible finds Mark!

Thanks guys going slow and a higher recovery speed helps I spent about 3 hours taking my time still wondering how I missed that barber as it’s a spot I’ve been going to for awhile now

Well done Mark. Do you wade or dive? Hooka system?I wade and detect at low tide
Thanks Dan I do wade but believe it or not most of the coins were found at or below the high tide line. These coins were all found below the high tide line it’s so rocky here if you’re in the water it’s almost impossible to dig I hunt the less rocky spots.

Double dang and a Holy Moly!!!!!!

nice score Mark. That water and beach hunting has paid off with some cool finds.
Dave
Thanks Dave every time I go I'm thinking a gold coin will pop up ! and I don't have many days where clad outnumbers silver.

That's a rare and wonderful spot. I know of a small residential park that I will frequent once in a while and more often then not wheats and the occasional silver coin will out number zinc's and clad. Haven't hit it with the 900 yet, need to I guess. HH jim tn
