Hi fellows,
Been waiting for the snow to melt and my SE upper shaft is having the X-1 probe installed by Ralph at Sun-Ray and decided to put the new grip on my handle. I just didn't like the feel of that foam rubber grip that Minelab uses and to me it just acted like a sponge if you detected in a little rain or your hands got wet and dirty. I don't like to use gloves either as it makes a mess of your handle not to mention putting scratches on your screen. I have a small towel that I carry with me to keep my hands fairly clean or I just wipe them on my pants. A couple of years ago I was browsing through the sporting section at WalMart and saw this rubber handle grip tape made by Wilson for use on tennis rackets and thought this would work on my XS handle and I loved the feel and it's a real comfortable grip and decided that my SE needed one also. The nice thing about this grip is that it doesn't soak up any water and it's very easy to keep clean. They only run about $3 and if you want a better feel and grip then give it a try. Thanks for looking and HH to all of you who can still get out and do some digging.
