Mode vs discrimination settings

A question for the Etrac experts. I’ve had my etrac for 5 years, but I’ve been on injured reserve for over a year. I want to ask a question that I should know the answer to.

There are 2 settings, Mode, and discrimination patterns. Does one override the other? I’m using the Andy Sabatich pattern and my discrimination pattern 1, and I have a mode indicator of 1 on the screen. Does doing this negate any “MODE” settings, or do I need coin mode and the Sabatich pattern?

I apologize, I’ve been away from it too long to remember.

I don’t think so Hotrod, you should be fine. The Mode is more about how the machine processes the signals you obtain with the discrimination pattern you set and the response it gives within whatever Mode you’re using. Your pattern shouldn’t have an effect on how it processes and responds. Keep in mind…really tight patterns might chop something off but if you’re running Andy’s deal you should be fine. IMO FWIW….
