Mississippi “A” Coat button

First day out relic hunting this season in Virginia and the good Lord blessed me with a good one-Mississippi “A” Coat at about 4-6 inches down.

I dug nothing but trash the first 5 hours abs decided to go into the woods and within 15 minutes I got a good hit solid 72-74. I was thinking button all the way and thought I dug a General Service button and put it in my button bag. Only when I took a drink of gator aide 20 minutes later did I look at the button and saw the Mississippi letters! My first Reb button this year. Ironically I dug my first Mississippi “I” button December 2020. The XP Deus sure CS loves the brass buttons-using Deus fast high frequency coil. Happy digging XP users!

So happy for you. About 3 years ago found a rare Confederate 45cal Whitworth bullet at a campsite with the HF. Really loves those midrange and below targets

Nice button! Those are hard to come by. I've dug only 2 Mississippi I buttons here in Va. Both found with the Nautilus.
