Minelab PUH-LEASE develop an inline probe!!

How about not disconnecting the signal to the big coil, but splitting (or doubling it) and sending one to the probe? If both coils were active at the same time, would it matter?

I doubt that set-up would work...Interference....

I do think this would be a challenge with an amphibian like the CTX. I used a Sunray with my V3i in the past and loved it. But it sure would be difficult tearing that gear off every time I wanted to "take a dip" with the machine. Only to put it right back on to land detect, often in the same hunting session. I would love an aftermarket nylon clip for my Pro-pointer, but beyond that I think it would really impact the utility of the machine. Not to mention I love how easy it is to fold up right now!! Anything that would interfere with that would not be an improvement (and it is hard to imagine it would not).

Just my 2 zincons, for what they are worth......

I really liked the inline pinpointer on my Explorers and the E-Trac. But I have become accustomed to the held pinpointer that I use with the CTX. Since SunRay is no longer producing the inline probe (only repairing), I doubt Minelab will attempt to create an inline probe for the CTX. I would rather see Minelab's R&D develop a "half size" version of the 17" coil. For me that would be a great addition to the 3 coils that are available now, and more useful for me than an inline probe. Just my thoughts on this subject...........HH
