Just like Garrett, they've got to offer the best in service since they can't offer the best in performance.
You should be ashamed of yourself for saying that. That is ugly and rude. :nono:

But true. I never get "ugly", "rude", or personal with people in the forums. Always try to keep things on a non-personal bases, but when it comes to machines I call them like I see them *from my experience*, which I'm sure differs from others. Just MO. See signature file. I'm serious...there are a few companies that, if they didn't offer excellent service, I'm not sure what they would have to offer. Tesoros been playing the same tune for years in terms of machines. Had a few of them. The Bandido II Umax had all the features of the various in one unit. Impressive depth, but only with zero discrimination...And discrimination was a must lacking tone alerts or a VDI. Crank it up a bit and the depth was very lack luster. In the end I couldn't live with all the trash I was digging because there weren't even tone alerts to help you along.

Synthnut, yes...The AT Pro looks like the best thing Garrett has done in years. Regardless of it's performance it should sell well just based on it's price for a dual purpose water/land machine with a full sized LCD display. That's unique. However, up until this point my favorite line has been that the Pro Pointer has been the best metal detector Garrett ever made. I've used many Garretts in the past and they all seemed about ten years behind the competition in terms of performance. I remember when the GTI series came out. They kept making a big thing about sizing technology. Big deal, Whites already had it with the flowing sizing display on the QXT. And it was much more useful than the sizing "slots" the GTI used. I played with a GTI and ran it through some tests. Glad I did, because I was considering buying one up until that point. It's depth was fair but at the outer edges if you even moved slightly off center the target was gone. Not even a trashy signal. That really scared me off. Talk about a sweet spot. Never saw a coil with such a tight field at the outer depths. I'd have to overlap my sweeps in a big way to avoid missing stuff.
