Mine lab Warranty VS the other guys!!!

Hey all,
Just wanted to relate an experience I had lately with my other detector and the response I received from (the other guys) warranty department. I was REALLY pleasantly surprised to receive the answer I didn't really expect from there warranty department. My arm cuff cracked on my Silver Saber which I bought back in 1996 so I posted on the Tesoro forum to ask if anyone knew where I could get a replacement one and the response was to contact Tesoro. I did by e-mail and received a quick response back to inform me that the detector had a LIFETIME warranty on it and the arm cuff was covered and he would (NO QUESTIONS ASKED) send me a replacement!!!!! How about that!!! Don't get me wrong, that detector is a toy compared to my Elite but, HEY MINE LAB THEY GOT MY RESPECT!!! :super: I wish I could say the same about the Detector Company I use.

Just like Garrett, they've got to offer the best in service since they can't offer the best in performance.

Minelab has my loyalty because their machines are great but a Come on Guys ( MINELAB REPS.) wake up and smell the coffee:yikes: There's more to it than making a great machine!!!

There is a lot more going on behind the scenes than you know about and I cannot comment on but they are doing a pretty good job in the customer service department and it should not be too long till the excal quality control issues are resolved

You should be ashamed of yourself for saying that. That is ugly and rude. :nono:

Yeah, I had terrible performance with my AT Pro a coupld of days ago .....It was so bad that I had to pull a lousy 1943 half and a 1906 Barber Quarter .....Problem with the half was some dummy put it in a solution with other coins and got a corroded Penny in there by mistake and tinted the Half ....

Oh BTW ...Those little discolored coins on the bottom left are those lousy Merc Dimes ....... On the upper right are lousy Buffalo Nickele and all the pennies you see are Wheats ......All coins were found at approx 6-9 inches deep ...... Lousy performance from those Garrett machines !!.... ......I hope it continues to have this poor performance !!....

What? You mean they can still get parts for a detector that old ? I haven't heard this song in a long time. If it was you excal they wouldn't even sell you an arm cuff. Also in the right evironment, the silver can be one of the best toys you can own.

If it was an excal it wouldn't have broken:lol:

Yes sir Garrett detectors are not the junk that some think........ I run both Garrett & Minelab and to me they are equal in working and depth......... and at times my Garrett will pick up coins that my Minelab will not......

So when will the public know about the behind the scenes things?

I have never had any company do anything but fix anything I have ever had a problem with... I have only been hassled by FTP about repairing my T2, they demanded a receipt but I bought it when it first came out in a group buy for a planned hunt direct from FTP... of course they didn't remember it and were demanding proof of purchase which I could not find. I pointed them to a review I did of the T2 online, that thankfully was still online, and they accepted that as proof.
I have had Tesoro look over a used machine, no questions asked. I have never had a problem with a Minelab. I've had products fixed, no questions asked by Detector-Pro and Sun Ray.
I expect Minelab would fix my machine if I had a need.

There are some sites where Tesoro will outhunt anything. Not every site but some and the Tejon is one deep monkey!
