I received part of what I ordered, then when I emailed him to tell him he shorted me he promised I'd have it all on Saturday, that came and went and I received zilch. I guess I should be happy I got some of it but it really sucks that he does not have it together at all and can't be honest about the shortcomings of his business practices...he may very well be backed up with too many orders and can't say no to new ones....this happens with custom-made one man operations that have success but cannot improve and increase their production to meet the demand and ultimately they fail because of this. Yes he is a wounded vet, there is compassion for this fact, but business is business and good ethics are a cornerstone of business, regardless of who is calling the shots. I just hope that Van gets it together soon and makes good on his promises.

MILSPEC Detector Gear WARNING

I finally received everything I ordered after having to threaten this guy with legal action to complete the transaction....Needless to say I will never do business with him again....all could of been avoided had he been honest about shipping when he said he would, which he lied about numerous times. Who treats cash paying customers this way and expects future business? Yeah his stuff is damn good, but not at the expense of having to pay in advance and having to wait almost 4 months to complete the sale. Nah, I'm not buying from Milspec again, what you guys do, that's your own business...
I sent an e-mail Monday to Van asking about my Combo Kit, I ordered back in June 11, Have no heard a reply. Tomorrow will be 3 months and NO Combo Kit. July 24 he email
stated my Kit was done and asked for my address now 45 days have gone by. Nothing. Not sure what action I have to do now. States Atty, BBB.
Tomorrow is 9/11 which is 13 year since we were attacked..... LETS NOT FORGET OUR HERO'S WE LOST THAT DAY. And ALL THE MILITARY PERSONNEL SINCE.

Hi Guys is there a update on how you resolved your grievance with van, did you get your gear ?
I own a small online detecting accessories shop in London UK called KINGDIGGER METAL DETECTING SUPPLIES www.kingdigger.co.uk and make nearly anything detector related a few months ago I came acroos van we chatted for a few months i was going to put in a $5000 order,
glad i didn't, i ordered templates for the F75 and he was supplying material and a diagram of how to stitch them up, I waited 3 months packs of lies and false promises all he sent was a cardboard cut out that's impossible to make out how to make a cover, he didint even give me enough material to do half a cover, I wasted over $200 for bits of cardboard!, dozens of unanswered emails here I am conned out of what I thought was a genuine guy. its now in the hands of my solicitor and your governments trading standards.
You will here a lot from me as Im definitely making the public aware of this lying con man who ripped me off.
his gear its great but he has no clue how to treat a fellow human being thats done nothing to him other than pay him,the money was payed through paypal as friend as he said i will get better deal and more material, I was conned hook line and sinker and paypal who ive used for 12 years as a business couldn't help me.
Ive given him every opportunity to contact me and explain or send what he owes me, I get nothing from his website or personal email Facebook or twitter he and his daughter refuses to reply!
SO I WARNED YOU KEEP CLEAR UNLESS YOU WANT RIPPED OFF!

Wow, I ordered my Milspec Gear from Windycitydetectors.com and got it in 3 days. Best service ever and a great product. I don't know anything about the company except the product is great quality. I hope there's an acceptable reason behind your issues, because I know the product is a really good product. Good luck resolving your issues.

Its in the process of been dealt with, I done nothing to this guy, and they cant even email me back or send what i paid for, paid in june via paypal, i send loads of gear to usa and get great feedback, even my spades are on tv show meteorite men geoff notkin got my spade look up his twitter account, Ive definately been made a fool off and it wont go unnoticed I will let EVERYBODY know whats hes done until he sends what he promised, im just glad i didnt pay for the big order! and i will not be his uk supplier, i make my own kit.

I havent got any issues with his gear, that was the reason i wanted to be his uk supplier his gear is good, but Ive been conned fair and square, conned me to pay via Paypal as friends, cant open a case to get money back ! I have all the emails,

I sent the second package with the covers step by step instructions and extra Multicam materials, and enough clear vinyl for about 20 covers.
I'm not trying to rip you off. I sent much more than I said I was going to send, and with the extra materials and instructions, that is something I had to design and figure out myself.

I had posted to his FB page requesting he contact me for my refund. Seems he has now disabled that function as well. So, he has been active enough to hide bad press/reviews from his sites.

He will tell you everything you want to hear up until he gets your money and then he's a ghost.. If you send him money for mil spec gear you will lose your money! I have at least 20 emails from different people in the last 2 months that paid him in January and February and still have not got their gear, when I would bring it up to Van his exact words were and i quote "Do you think I give a fu#%".
I refuse to allow him to continue screwing my customers and friends Van may tell you I'm mad because he won't sell me gear any longer but that's not true I'm mad because he robbed me the same way he's robbed the others! If anyone is interested in proof or emails from other customers that have gotten burned please email or call me I would be happy to share it!
I feel if I sit back and continue allowing this to go on without giving any warning I am just as guilty as he is! Please folks don't send this guy your money!
