The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.

I have had an order for a few items in and now Van, the owner will not return calls or emails, took my money and nothing......

DO NOT ORDER...RIP OFF

If he contacts me or refunds me I will let you know......

This has happened before. I believe that the person doing the work is a disabled vet. Every once in a while he has medical problems which make him disappear for a while.

I got a text my gear went out today, should have it Monday or Tuesday.

I will keep you posted.

As for disabled vet, as I am one, we know what is wrong with us and we should explain to customers about possible delays, and here is an idea, put that on phone msg also.....


Anyway, I will keep everyone posted.

Was holding off on comments till the package arrived at my door. 48 hrs from "it's going out today" to my door. 4 week wait to get to that point , but I won't hold Jeremy responsible for his supplier.
The bag looks just as advertised. Worth the wait. Trust me on that one.
I'll give Jeremy at Vancemetaldetecting a 2 thumbs up for working through a tough situation and maintaining truthful communication. Mil Spec however....
 
Spoke to Jeremy Vance last nite and I believe he's the new exclusive distributor for all of the mil spec gear,if you need it he's got it...
 
Ron at Windy City also carries the Milspec products.
 
I have met Van 2 times at detecting club hunts. He is a disabled vet, a nice guy, but has a really bad neck/back issue. Has had several operations already. His product is the best there is, my and I love our belts, bags, sheaths, cover and the work great. However, we had to wait a year for delivery, but he did make good as promised. I you can get his from some that stocks it great. If you want the best gear out there and can wait, I'm sure he will deliver when he can. I would say wait tell he recovers from his next operation then order up. I like Van, but also understand the frustration of feeling rip off. Just know what's up. Being a disabled vet myself I can relate to what he is going through, but wish he was better able to service his customer. I'll keep checking in on from time to time and hope he can keep his shop producing - his the only on working on the stuff. Just my 2 cents - hope it helps.
 
I am now the only dealer carrying MILSPEC gear and exclusively for the DEUS, I am a 100% disabled vet ( marine) as is Van (army) we have spoke and have come to the understanding that he will supply me and I will supply the customer, there will be no more pre orders as this is where he has really t'd people off, I will only sell what I have in stock!!!! [size=medium][size=large]I have been working with Van about an year now and have run into delivery problems myself, he has horrible issues from injuries suffered in combat, any many times he has had to go in for additional surgery in very short notice, not excusing the problem but I can guarantee he does his very best to please the customer and in no way would ever scam anyone.
I understand peoples concern however please be patient Van will come through
You can't argue the fact he does make the best gear in the market.

For those who have them are they worth the price? I have no issue paying for quality and supporting the American entrepreneur, but am concerned with the mesh bottom wearing out. I like the concept though, allows for dirt to sift through.
 
For folks looking for Mil-Spec gear, I called Windy City to verify that they had the booty bags in stock. The good news is that they have the bags and some other gear in stock, but only a limited supply. They are clearing out their stock and have included clearance prices:thumbup:. But like I said, limited supply...
 
I ve had my milspec gear for just about a year, It is awesome. Only issue was I broke a zipper by not keeping it clean and waxed. IMO the price is spot on.
 
I would not even attempt to do business directly with Van at Milspec. He took my money back in Feb and nothing yet. I had ordered one of his digger sheaths when they first came out and it was top notch stuff so I ordered a big sack and belt in Feb.

Had a few promises of delivery and nothing ever showed up. He rarely answers emails and there appears to be no other way to contact him. I'm a vet myself and wanted to help out a fellow vet but this is ridiculous. In my book this has become fraud and I will be contacting his States Attorney for charges of wire fraud if he doesn't make good this week.

I will put in a good word for Vance Metal Detecting who has tried to help me straighten this mess out.
