Heard we were supposed to get 5" of snow the other day...so I thought I'd make one more trip to the park with the sand pit.
Good thing I did because we did get dumped on.

There are no more areas for me that aren't frozen up right now...so this was my only choice.
There are no old silver coins within my reach here because over 8" of sand was dumped on this spot back in the mid 60's.
Each and every old coin here is at least 10" deep....and the slver here has been at the 11" level.
I pulled an 11" deep silver quarter here about 2 weeks ago...along with 5 deep wheaties.
With snow and freezing temps coming...I thought I'd give it one more shot. I just needed a break from the cabin fever...and my buddy Hercules wanted to run around a little.

I took my SE and Darrell's E-trac...and ONLY the 10 x 12 SEF coil along.
I was able to pull one more DEEEEEEP Roosey with the SE/SEF combo. It came out pitch black...just like the '47 washington quarter a couple of weeks ago..and came from the same 11" depth level.
I then decided to put the 10 x 12 on "Heavy D's" E-trac.
After an hour or so I was able to sniff out one more deepie from the outmost part where they dumped all the sand.
This one was in part sand....part rock...right on the edge of the pile...and it too came from 11" down.
It was the first coin from here that didn't emerge dark black. I assume because it wasn't laying 100% in the deep sand like the others.
Hey...NO complaints here. TWO coins...BOTH silver....MID February...SNOW everywhere...AND my buddy Hercules got to run around.

I think this was my FIRST EVER hunt where I dug TWO coins from measured depths of 11" each...AND they were BOTH silver.
After all the action...Herky decided he would get his orange mail truck toy...fetched it a few times...growled at it a few times...then just relaxed with it.
