Mi-6 Delay on D2

Been having a lag with my MI-6 of 10-20 seconds when I activate it on my D2. I’m using the most current software. Thinking this may be a software glitch? It’s kind of annoying as I have to wait for the pinpointer to activate. Any ideas on what’s going on?

I think mine has a delay as well. Seems like it isn't more than a few seconds, say five or so, maybe?

Also, with certain kinds of interference, I notice that the pinpointer doesn't always connect to the remote. It turns on and acts connected, so it remains silent with the vibration off, but the remote doesn't show the "pinpointer mode" screen. It happens more often in my yard because there is a bad transformer down the street, and at the school where there's a huge solar farm, than it happens other places.

I'm wondering if your delay is due to interference of some kind.

Yea that might be it. I’m going to hunt one of my out in the middle of nowhere places and get back to you on it.

The guys are onto something…sometimes mine doesn’t connect at all if I’m in an urban area, but out in the country, no issue. It is an annoyance.

That is an interesting thought. I sometimes experience the delay. Usually I turn it off and on again to get it to connect.
With this idea in mind, I will pay attention to where it happens more often.

So it seems interference does play a role in the Mi-6 connection on the D2. Went to park today that was in the middle of nowhere. Mi-6 connection was fine until I got near any power source then it was the usual long delay. Thanks for all the input I really appreciate it!

I have an Mi4 and an Mi6 but I don’t use the mi6 paired at all because I don’t like the lag , and also I don’t like not being able to use the detector during target recovery if I don’t pick up the signal with the pin pointer on the first.

I went out a few days ago and forgot my WS-6 backphones. So, I ysed the speaker on the remote (my MI-6 IS paired) and I quickly noticed there was hardly ever any delay in the MI-6 connecting. So, yesterday I went out and whan I switched on the remote and when tome to select audio source, I selected speaker on the remote. Then, I went into settings and set volume in the remote to 0. I detected for an hour and only once did the MI-6 not connect immediately. You guys try this workaround and see if it helps in getting rid of the delay. That delay is so annoying!
