metal detecting with diabetes its tough sometimes!

I've been a type 2 for years and insulin dependant for 7 years now. I keep detecting and will as long as I'm able. The only problem the diabetes has caused me detecting wise, at this point, is I have to make sure I have glucose tablets or a candy bar or other snack with me as on longer hunts my sugar level often drops too low. I do strongly encourage those with diabetes to monitor your sugars and keep them under control even though it's a nuisance. Much better than dealing with the damaging effects of poorly managed diabetes. I have found that I'm able to keep tighter control on my sugars since the switch to insulin from pills.
