MDing not thought of as a hobby by others???
It has been bothering me for some time now that when I mention metal detecting the only question is, What valuable thing have you found?
No one asks me about what I get out of it?
Why do you have 3 metal detectors? R you have 14 rifles.
Why do you pay $60 for that tool? B you paid $250 for the model train engine.
You spent 4 hours and got 12 coins worth less than a dollar. C you spent $300 on one coin and waited a week for it to come. My kids will have a collection that will be worth tens of thousands of dollars. I know C kids and it will be a 2 week drunk, but don't tell C that.
I could go on and on and you could probably add to this also, but it just isn't considered a hobby by most people.
If it isn't a hobby what is it?
Just wondering... Thanks for reading... Jer
