Too much! If it's important, spell it correctly...

Chuck, not sure what this means

Man This Gets Me Mad And I Run Across This Bull Too Much

I thought that is what he meant. /shrug Not sure the whole point for picking on spelling.

I have found a lot more holes not filled in, in my little area, think there are a lot more people detecting now thanks to the TV shows.
I think we all have to Police our sport or it will be gone by a few who don't care.
Just my two cents.
Good job Bill G

Now THAT is a fantastic idea. Im not sure how effective sowing seed at a dig site would be, but the police, park caretakers, and general public would certainly see a guy or gal re-seeding a recently disturbed area as good stewardship or public lands. I am going to start carrying a zip-lock bag of grass seed as well, just to have some to sprinkle on those plugs that end up not looking as nice as it did before i dug. Those types of plugs shouldn't be common but they are unavoidable at times.

I will just kick in some sand as I go by them. What irks me more is that there is someone who took what appears several rolls of pennies and scattered them in the water, yesterday I decided to take some of these pennies out and quit after pulling 251 pennies but was rewarded with 2 silver rings in the process. These pennies were deliberately thrown in there and I think it was an older guy who goes out there and just hunts the dry sand, he will sometimes just give dirty looks at us when we hunt the water, why, I don't know, maybe because we pull some nice rings out. Guess that just comes with the territory. HH

Very admirable and respectable, Bill. Even surface finds should be replenished.

There are those that are true detectorists at heart, and those that think they are detectorists. The name needs to be respected through it's ethics as well as ones abilities.

We don't need to be confused with cheaters, idiots and another word that I can't say  or Elton would remove the post.
