Lower Rod

My first problem was the Sq shaft wore from not beable to be tightened at the grip. The lower cam would not hold the lower shaft. But that was fixed. Now the lower shaft will slide in and out when the cam is opened with out needing to turn the 90 degrees to lock. The little bump on the end is worn down so it has little affect on the grove. Hope this makes sence.

What type of varnish would you use on carbon fibre if you had to?

Mine was wearing a lot that is the problem with carbon fiber. I have oar blades for my drift boat that are carbon fiber they wear too. I have already sprayed the upper rod once with Helmsman spar varnish can get it at Walmart usually has worked fine on the oars for years for me.
