Low tide........Sunshine.........sore arms equals gold and silver

J-man and I headed out today before the phone could ring and I would have had to go in for overtime at work. It was a beautiful day full of sunshine. We arrived just after high tide and worked the dry sand for a while until the tide was way out there. We collected some clad and silver in the dry sand. Our beaches are very sanded in and you know it is bad when you don't even find pull tabs or can slaw. I hit a small spot about 50 feet long where the currents had ripped away some sand. It looked like it would produce.......and it did. I found a small 10k gold ring and then a large earing close by. Within the same vicinity I also found 2 dimes and 2 pennies in the same single scoop! I worked the spot hard but could find no other treasures. There is gold there but is unreachable below the piled up sand.
