low end price detector

The Compadre is a good starter at $189 but I don't think you can
you can't change coils On it. I may be mistaken about that.The F2
you can change coils. I like the Ace machines myself.

F2 for sure. Very capable machine that gets great depth. The 4" coil is a killer. Spend the extra $15 and get the 4" coil and pinpointer, the pinpointer isn't great, but it will be better than nothing. The F2 can keep up with much more expensive detectors and isn't easily outgrown. The Eurotek is another option around your pricepoint, but it's a bit more complex than the F2.
