Loss of long time forum friend Monte Berry 😥

utmike

Well-known member
Just received news from Monte's family that he's passed away.
Never shy to add his point of view, Monte made decades of impact in the metal detecting world.

He just went by "Monte" here on Findmall.

He'll be missed for sure.

Moderators, please move this if it's not the appropriate place. Thank you.

How I remember him. RIP

Monte was Stright Shotter and Honest person about Metal Detectors He Tested and wrote many magazines. Not Like Many Todays Testing Y-Tuber/ "Ass Clowns" Post BS Product since get it free Machines kiss ass to Dealers / Company/ . Monte Allways Post The True about Any New Metal Detectors , Will Miss Monte

A great loss for sure. He had a way of taking in questions and paying attention to detail, giving a full answer. Unlike some who just give a token reply. Again a great loss to all.

I'm very sorry to hear this. A great loss for this community, where he always gave his opinion given his extensive experience.
The best are leaving... Monte, Eric, Reg... Rest in peace all of them

Monte will truly be missed. I always enjoyed reading his posts. Not only was he a wealth of information, but he was quick to share his knowledge with others with questions they may have had concerning metal detectors or the hobby itself. Like all others here, I was sad to hear of his passing. RIP Monte. Prayers said for his family during this difficult time. God's Speed to them.

I am going to miss the times we detected together these last five years when he lived in my area. It was always fun listening to his detector stories from years gone by.
The detector world got a little lonelier today. Rest In Peace Monte.
