BCNJ - does your grip squeak or flex when you grip it?
Before I knew there could be an issue I had felt at little wobble. Just never gave it much thought. it was like when a cam lock is going bad from years of use! but never repeted too often. Then I read the post and looked closer and saw the handle when twisted you could see the grove on the SQ shaft. I open the handle up and saw how bad it was. I really think it a qulity control issue with the two pieces not beable to be tightened enough to prevent any movement from starting.
Minelab has ask me to send the unit back for inspections as they have had others as well!

I don't post hardly ever in this forum but have been involved with carbon fiber for a long time. From my experience with miles and miles of carbon fiber, that is not what you have there if it has worn like that. I'm not an expert but have been making things for years out of it. They might call it carbon fiber, but I have to cut it in pieces with a high speed saw and diamond blade and it takes some force to do that. Just my opinion now. It looks like it has a layer of carbon and then epoxy. That is absolutely pitiful in my book. You won't wear out what I deal with in lifetimes. That is a huge problem in my book.
