There is a wide variety of pressed suspenders clips many with patriotic themes which I don’t believe have any military connection..cool find... the type I’m referencing were made in late 1800 s till early 1900s..

Checked the back after a little cleaning & can't find any markings. I've looked at some early cavalry/infantry suspender clasps online and they are much more utilitarian. Patriotic seems like the right category, thanks!
