But found a dealer about 40 or so miles away, has one due to be in Tuesday. He is going to call me and I will check it out next thursday or friday.
I've got some gold rings and gold coins and 2 grain nuggets and a silver 3 cent piece to take along.

:crylol::You are lucky, my dealer wont get one in unless you order it first.

Let White's know about that! They may have a thing to say about that;-)

I'd say that's something to remember when you're buying anything in the future. If the local guy won't stock one then he is not a dealer...he's an intermediate "order man"...big deal.

My Whites dealer in my home town is Radio Shack. They will never have a Vision in stock, unless you order one. Some dealers are like that.

Some day someone is going to have to explain Whites marketing system to me. No mail order on the Vision. Only local mail order on the Prizm line. No advertising cheap prices. What the *%&^. In todays economy I would want to sell as many as possible. When the E-Trac went on sale you didn't have to kiss a salesmans butt to get one. Politics should be left out of selling metal detectors.

I really do agree with this If you are a dealer you should be able to sell to who ever you want to. Kellico sales Whites mail order but they are the only dealer for whites that can do this and not on the Vision yet. Whites cut your dealers loose and let them sale some detectors I could have sold a couple Visions for my dealer to friends and save them a few bucks over what there dealer local would sell them. The two guys will wait now and may buy somthing different because of this. It just does not make sense to do this we are now in the world of the Internet it is a wonderful tool use it to make some sales.

It helps your local shops stay in business, that is why they do it. Not all dealers sell for full retail. Trust me.

I disagree. Why do other Mfg. let their people compete? Why the secret price? Why does Joe the detectorist have to drive 4 hrs to put up with a half ^*^%$% dealer? Oh I can order a Vision directly from Whites, but at full price. The point is to get the dealers to agree on a price like the people of Weber Grills do. Attract customers with customer service & deals on accessories. I don't have to put up with finding a unit that way. If i want to order it off the web I can. For some people finding a Vision is like finding that one thing at Xmas that every person is trying to get. Tickle me Elmo. Maybe with a unit from another Mfg.

Never have paid full retail for a detector and I have brought many over the years. I still do not agree with this this is the USA these are USA made detectors.
As long as some one has the money they should be able to buy from who ever they want to. That is the way free trade works only person this helps is maybe
Whites being able to control the price a little better. No other detector company does this and there local dealers seem to be doing fine. You should not be forced
to buy a detector from some one you may not like or who may not be of help to you because of where you live.

Sorry but to me this has and never will make any since. Kellico sells Whites mail order all the time but wont let the local little guy do it. It is time for this to change.

Sorry I love Whites detectors but this policy is just is wrong.

Im sure there is more to than what you might know about the pricing policy of White's. They all have some sort of policy they are just tweaked in a different way. I would love for there to be a respectable dealer close to everybody, in a perfect world you would be able to do that. Over the internet you get a lot of people that try to sell you the most they can to make a buck. Some are good, some not. With a local dealer you want them to be familiar with the product and try to fit the machine to your needs and your pocketbook. Face to face, have a local club, outings, ect. We are very lucky to have that here where we are. I wish it was that way everywhere. I for one would much rather help my neighbor and try to support our local businesses, just like I don't like buying product mass produced in China. Believe me I also dont like the Kellyco monopoly and hope that will change,I don't like calling a call center and getting someone who can barely speak english or going to local retail "outlet" that can just point you where to go and not be knowledgeable. But I think White's really does try to support your local dealers and give them the tools to make them successful. It is up to them to make it work. Sure it could be tweaked a little one way or the other. So could policies of the other companies everywhere. Also I will state this again I do not support the Kellyco policy either. I think maybe I misread what you said and I was not supporting Kellyco, I was supporting your local dealers.
