Where to start since so much has happened?
Well, that toothache is pretty much a non-pain problem. Went for about 12 hours without having to use any pain meds at all. The antibiotics is working on the infection and the pain is just about all gone. Praise God.
During the worst time of this toothache we found a problem with our water supply. It was loosing pressure. Even more worrisome was that the neighbors across the street had no water. We had thoughts that our well was drying up and may have to dig another well. Guess around here that runs about 5 grand. Sherry said she had heard water running earlier in the day but the pressure has been down for a long time before that. I went outside and checked the pump - it was running continuously pumping water somewhere but not in the house. Pulled off the access panel on the side of the house and whoosh the water was going all over the place full bore. We called a friend who has contacts in the area and a young lad showed up about 15 minutes later. He checked it over, asked if I had a screw driver which I gladly provided. A few minutes later the water had stopped being pumped on the ground, the pump finally stopped to take a breath of freedom and we were pretty happy it was a simple fix and the guy didn't have to crawl in the water to repair a pipe underneath. WHen asked how much I owed him he only asked for $5 to cover his gas. I gave him a $10 and wished I'd had much more to hand him. He was more than happy with the $10. Praise God it didn't cost more. Amd the water pressure is better than it has been since we moved into the house. Our electric bill will probably be shocking when we pay for the pump running for however long it had been running. Praise God for keeping the water running and not an expensive repair.
The poor neighbor didn't fair as well (over $300 for a new pump and storage tank). Still not sure if they have water or not.
Though Sherry isn't 'normal yet' she did have a couple good days so we ventured out today and had our first date in a long time. We like to have a date once a week to keep things romantic in our relationship.
Praise God she felt better at least for a couple days. She was feeling a bit worse later today though. It has been 7 weeks this has been going on and we still wait for the insurance company to allow the doctor to run the next test to find out what is going on.
Sherry and I went to a bank today and while there (a bank we had never been to before) we talked about Sherry's business and then my hobby - detecting. I got a lead on a place to search because as the teller put it 'its full of gold! Everyone I know has lost a ring there and many others have too.' Come on spring!!!!! See it was just people talking and suddenly a great tip. Thank you God for yet another promising place to detect when the weather permits.
Sherry got an email today. She has been asked to once again be the scheduler for the pest control company - with a raise to boot. Praise God as we need the income.
I am scheduled for the 20th to have the tooth extracted. I told Sherry now that I feel better I don't need to see the dentist. She was a bit upset and told a few of her close friends who want to come up here and sit on me and take turns 'knocking the snot out of me'. Guess I had better go see the dentist.
A lot to be thankful for. We know your prayers made a difference and we thank you all. Keep Sherry in your prayers that whatever is going on in her will be fixed soon. Pray for me on the 20th as I hate dentists so this will not be easy for me to go 'face my fears' and pray for fast healing too.
Thank you all and God bless each and every one of you.
