Legend External Battery

I am toying with getting a external battery for my Legend but not sure if it is worth. I dont usually hunt for longer than my internal battery lasts but was thinking I could keep a charged external battery in my bag in case the internal battery goes dead. How good are the external batteries? Do they hold a charge well? I am hoping those that have them can weigh in.

I have used mine when I have forgotten to but a fresh charge in the internal battery just in case it was low. you hardly know it is there and appears to impart a charge to the internal battery when the internal is low. It may not be worth the cost if you never need it but like 4 wheel drive , nicer to have it than not.

I'm pretty good about keeping the internal battery sufficiently charged but have needed the auxiliary battery on several occasions. I was glad to have it so I could keep hunting. I think it helps the overall balance also.

That was just about illiterate !:)

I see they are about $90 so if you don't have one but do have a portable/backup power source/battery for other electronic items there is no reason you couldn't just band it to your Legend and plug the charging cord in to get you through a tough spot. A lot of people get by with tire chains vs 4 wheel drive , kind of the same thing.;)
