Ha Randy after reading your post I started looking and found a [size=x-small]small[/size]pouch just a little bigger than four batteries. I got it a Walmart in the electronics section, it is for one small cassette and has a a vinyl strap on the back that runs from top to bottom to be mounted vertical on a belt but it could be mounter on a belt horizontally with two zip-ties. It has a zipper in the side. I mounted mine so it is in the middle if my belt so it is behind me. I don't even know it is there. It only cost $4.00, it is made by Case Logic and is black. The number on the package is DMC2.

PS: I got about 3/4 of a mile from my car and my batteries were dead and no spars batteries and sun was going down. Now I always carry a spare. "like you!. LOL
