LCD screen ‘washes out’ after 40minute sunny beach hunt..

Liths are a strange bird and do weird things when its hot or cold. The batteries themselves dont have to be hot like usage hot to react to the heat. Certainly no electronics guru here..... SWAG lol.

Rick.... page 66 of the manual does give some tech specs for temps ect.

Thanks Dew - my bad - operating team limits are stated as +14 to +122. Hot sun direct on the control housing plus internal heat generation including from the lithium battery might exceed +122 I guess, Hopefully that was all that the OP’s screen fade was.

I have about 150 hours on mine in the Houston heat, in mid 90's for a month or more now, and zero issues with it! I believe it to be the absolute best 'all around' machine ever built and at a great price!

Well I really hope it was just an anomaly! I really have taken a liking to the machine and don’t want to be without it! All my other machines are PI and I don’t want to add iron to the heavy number of targets I already dig, lol! My favorite place looks like a carpet of pulltabs when the water is low! I’ve already called ML and I know they’ll take care of it if need be. We’ll be in the 100’s next week so I’ll test it then. I can always head out to deeper water with the sea hunter while waiting...
