Forgot to mention about the eagle button. On the back is AMERICAN BUTTON CO. *NEWARK N.J.*
Manufactured 1901-1920 for the US military. Another first for me.
 
Last couple trips out. A whole lot of junk not shown, but a couple cool finds. First 2 pics are from earlier in the week. The last 3 are from today.
Couldn't believe I lasted 3-1/2 hrs. Usually my back is in agony after 2 hrs. Two barbers today. 1913 is the decent one. the mangled is 1916.
A silver ring missing a large stone. The teardrop shaped object looks like a hat badge.

Can anybody ID the locking mechanism? I was thinking maybe an old WWI era car, but the skeleton keyhole just doesn't seem right.
