LATEST MIDWEST ADVENTURE-LAME! BE CAREFUL YA'LL! LONG!

True, I was short on a 10 oz. bar, on the payable amount, but last time they allowed me to send in a cashier's check for the balance due, to get the bar. This time, they were swamped and did not have time, as they were trying to reconcile all the batches, as quickly as possible. I will probably just take payment and shop for my own bars, in the future. I think I came out better that way.

Not in my town, I saw a 10oz. bar at a local pawn shop for over $200 when silver was in the 13-14 an oz. range. Apparently they think it's worth more than spot even when they pay less than spot to buy it. Kinda like double dipping to me but it's his shop so I moved on to a place that sells at 5% over spot and buys at spot.

I figure the pawn shops have no reservations about asking for the sky... easier to come down, to make a sale, than go up.

Local shop did NOT want to give me $15 for six .925 rings that totaled an ounce. 3 of the rings would each have sold for that.

They are paying $9 gram for 14kt Au.

I'll need to sell elsewhere!

Still, a great place to buy an electric guitar, amp, or power tools...

flea market, yard sale, over time you will make connections with people who will pay you fair prices at much more than melt!!!! I get $15 to $25 for most good quality silver rings, those heavy silver chains are easy to sell for 5 times melt!! take a little time during slow season clean up and polish your finds then put them in classifieds....the broken unsellable stuff trade off for bars...the same goes for gold jewelery. to sell good usable stuff for melt is CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I completely agree with Steve...as a "better" company, this is not the right way to treat a customer, especially a repeat customer.
And there is definitely no excuses such as busy. I am sure that they will definitely pay for it...

For the mean time, lets hope you got your things done...Good Luck!
