Last two hunts: relics and coins

First hunt I hit a park that has been blasted to death. However I noticed the town had cut back an area of shrubs. So I headed on over and started hunting in between the shrubs and within 20 minutes I found the two mercs and rosey. Moral of the story, when the landscape changes, make sure you hunt the area.

The second park I hit was my second visit. Quite a bit of history and has also been pummeled. On my first visit, (Sunday, June 27) I took a good look around and headed towards a high spot at edge of the field. This is where I recovered the Bronze Right Sided Collar Disk. This disk is Type 1 and made between 1910-1924. FWCRAWFORD identified this find. Thank you Felix!!

My second visit was today (7/4/2021) I decided since this park has been worked over in the obvious spots, I decided to walk the woods. I am glad I did!! Reading the land and seeing the remnants of old trails, I found the SLQ, Barber dime and IH cent. I also found several wheat cents. The earliest dating to 1910.

Happy 4th of July!!

Nice hunting! Love those Standers, especially with dates. (y) HH jim tn
Thanks Jim. Very hard to find them with nice solid numbers.

Those are a great bunch of finds! Especially like the SLQ, dated ones are a tough chore. The patriotic design makes it a great Independence Day find!

You beat me to em...but "you done good"! Congrats.

Nice scores Jim!! Got some nice finds myself this weekend!
