last chance for tesoro

I have some Tesoro's (5) and no BH - nuff said

Kidding aside - I have not used the BH. IMO if you get a Tesoro and for whatever reason you decide it's not for you, I would think they have a good re-sell market as folks seem to always be looking for Tesoro.

I don't have the Vaquero, but I do have the Tejon, and I'm keeping my Tejon.
For higher mineralized soil, it has it's place.
Some don't care for the more chatting noise compared to others, but that's the language of the Tejon talking.
5.75 coils for trashy :detecting:

I know what you mean by chatty... My MXT is like that as you always have the threshold humming. I'm used to it and it lets you hear nulls that way. The Tejon is a very nice detector... :detecting: :tesoro: HH TonyTX

Tony, this may sound strange, but it's my impression. It probably won't be how other people feel, but
here it is.

I think the 7 is more krisp. It's precise. For some reason the coil's field seems smaller than the 5.75
while maintaining almost as good of depth. Maybe the same or better on some materials.

I think I can get closer to iron and see by it just a little better with the 7.

The 5.75 is powerful and robust. It's an awsome coil.

I don't know if I am accurate. But that's the logic I use when choosing between them.

Hey Tabdog, That may very well be. I've heard of a little larger coils being that way. If I run across a 7 I'll give it a try and let you know what I think. Most of the guys I hunt with that have Tesors detectors use the 5.75 but I'll see if they might have a 7. The 5.3 I use on the MXT is actually about 6" or right at that and it does a great job with decent depth and separation. Thanks for the info and maybe I'll be able to duplicate it. Thanks and HH ... i ordered the tesoro today from wodonga. i chose the 8" coil over the 5.7".

thank you all for your input. hope im as happy hunting as you fellas.

Hay Peter,

Just a little quirous. What model Tesopro did you order?

With the high standards of Tesoro, I'm sure you made a good choice.

If it is the Compadre. I did not know you could choose coils.
