Large headed square nails

Found these by some old forged stuff in my button patch. I've seen a lot of cut nails but none with this big a head

Maybe to hold down wagon cover?

Upholstery tacks????? I know they are quite large but I remember similar under GreatGrandma’s large couch. Material pulled down under the frame and the tacks driven in the backside of the frame to secure the horsehair type material.
Long shot I know…..

I'm thinking it held some sort of a heavy fabric just not sure where and I think the length was so it didn't poke out the other side

I was an auto tech for 4 years and still tinker I've never seen a valve with a square stem there defiantly some sort of nail. My guess was tarp or canvas on wagon or buggy
