Went out to a local lake that is drawn down every year. Used my 4x6 DD sniper coil and cleaned up between the trash. Many coils have searched this shoreline this year and past years. Coins are getting scarcer cause I did better last year. The black mud does pit and stain the silver but still nice to find.
Congrats! Silver from fresh water is one of my favorite finds. Usually cleans up well with no abrasive methods necessary. Lightly use a 350 milliamperes eddy current (with teaspoon of baking soda and a stainless steel anode) for about one minute and gently wipe with an old chamoise to avoid striations. Pulled over100 silver from one lake and that is soo fun!
Congrats again!!! There ought to be some gold lurking there too...
