I am hard of hearing and tried to find a set of headphones with the best volume, of The Detector pros the makers of the Gray Ghost I found the Uniprobe had the loudest volume.
Being I have the SunRay X1 on the Explorer I didnt need the Uniprobe, so I got one of these amps from Doc and will say this is the best amplifier for us that are hard of hearing.If you need the volume as I do, then get one of these amps, I run mine full volume and my detecting buddie tell me they hear every signal I get even if they are 20 feet away.
