Key Date Standing Liberty Quarter! / 1923 Half Dollar, a 2nd SLQ and Others

Finds are from the last few hunts from researched public parks and schools. Machine used was all Minelab eTrac.
Even though it is worn, I am glad the last digit is still legible on that SLQ so I could Id it being a key date. The coin was part of a nice pocket spill I hit last weekend.
The spill had a 1923s SLQ, 1929 SLQ, 1943 Mercury dime and a 1912 V nickel! The nickel pulled the target tone down to a flat wheat penny like sound.
The target seemed a little bigger and I thought it might have been a screw cap but I chased it anyway. Coins in the spill were about 7 inches deep.
About 15 feet from that fun, I hit a nice signal through some of the trash and thought it may be a half before I dug it.
Sure enough, a 1923 Walker @ about 11 inches deep.
That was an old pocket spill that made my day.

Thanks for Looking!
Dave

You’ve still got the drop on those sites Dave, that’s incredible to amass that collection in a few hunts! I’d have to drive 2-3 hours to hope to find productive public ground like that, and even then...who knows. Great to see the goods still coming, VERY nice hunting!

The finds are unbelievable and surprises no one that they are found on pounded public parks! (y)

Thanks for the great comments!
By no means is my type of hunting for everyone as I can easily put on 600-700 miles in a weekend and am usually on the road by 5am Saturday heading to my first prospect that I think can still hold some oldies.
It is still fun for me and great exercise so that is why I keep doing it.
Truly the thrill of the hunt as every hunt is different. I joke with my wife and call it a 'Dirt Casino' that always pays out.

Awesome haul of goodies Dave! That was one heck of a coin spill! SLQ's and Walkers are some of the pretiest coin designs and it never gets old seeing them in the dirt. Love those old tokens as well.
