Hey Mark kus. It seems that you do well with finding gold and everything else including this halve dollar. Are you using the Manticore, and are you using the beach program for the many gold rings that you find? That is if you don't mind saying. Thanks.

Yes I'm using the Manticore with the 9" coil my preferred setup with this setup i've found 6 gold rings cant tell you how many silver coins
going back to 1700's spanish 1/2 reales beach low conductor out of the water on land wet sand sensitivity 22-24
no discrimination works very well some coins have been very deep in the mud.

Thanks Mark. I have recently purchased the Minelab and I have had a Deus 2 for a couple of years. I have found much silver with the .71 and no gold. I was thinking that the Manticore may help with that. Thanks for the information.

Gold is so elusive, but it sounds like you have it worked out.
I had good luck two weeks ago one the 1934 class ring was at the bottom edge of one of the dredged sand piles it was my first good target
I found the 1948 class ring same area with my D2 the 1938 was with my Manticore and the 1934good luck I found a 24k ring with my Manticore solid gold here is a picture

Nice Score with the Barber Half Mark! Those don't come up often at all anymore. That beach dredge site is quite a site.
Are there other people pounding it also?
Hopefully there is big seated or gold still waiting to be found!
Dave
Thanks Dave yes it’s been a field day I was back today and it paid off with another half that was uncovered by the high tides and wind a screaming 92-93 I knew it was a good one will post finds soon
