Keep it short and simple...............your guess; will Tesoro ..........

Really doesn't matter if they come out with a new or not, they already have some darn fine machines out but I guess if the majority of folks wanting something new is in high demand, then they may very well be working on something new.

...The Deleon has more control panel space for a needed manual ground balance for those that hunt the more mineralized ground. The simple meter display on the Deleon is quite good and the Deleon is deep enough in my mild ground as it is. This addition of this one added feature would be enough to boost sales on this over looked under appreciated TID machine and should'nt take much R&D to have it in production.

Randy------That's something they should have done on that detector YEARS AGO!!!------They've lost A LOT of Deleon sales by not doing it & you can count on that!

This leads me to a question I've often pondered and I know I've read it as a Tesoro post somewhere before. Does the g/b affect the accuracy of the ID on any machine? My understanding is that a preset allows for more accuracy and I've always wondered if this was just hype or not.

ergonomics, could be Improved,

On the wife's Toltec ll, which is a second generation Tesoro TID, it has a small GB pot at the back of the detector under a plastic plug. I have carefully adjusted this small pot and came to the conclusion that it does affect the target id. I tried power balancing it and ended up with a negative GB and the target id was off, so I ended up adjusting the GB with a "slight" (just like the manual noted) positive response as coil approached the ground. It is a very small pot and not recomended to be fooled with much.

 I am guessing they will surprise us and release the long awaited Golden uMax back into production with a few added changes like dropping that surface rolling tone. Do I get a prize if I am right?:wiggle:

Probably not but judging by their previous history expect a little upgrade on a previous model but nothing groundbreaking..or for that matter super expensive....

Yeah, if you're waiting for a Tesoro version of the etrac or V3, I think it's going to be a long wait. At least I hope so. Let the other guys make the fancy bell-and-whistle machines.

Dan

That's "fo sho"!!!----Tesoro isn't into that type of market & never will be (not a bad thing).------Just get that Golden back on the market (and with a manual gb)----Tesoro, you ah listenin??

A friend of mine was told by someone at Tesoro that it would be out in 2 years.
A friend of a friend of a friend of a friend told me that it would be out in two weeks. Just fooling with ya, your friend must have some pull if he has any knowledge as Tesoro is always more tight lipped that Fort Knox when it comes to letting any info out.
