Just sent my deleon in!!

Hmmm. I'm not sure then.
The trot coil I sent with the machine was made by them back then but not sold by them and they are still fixing it for me and pretty much remaking it.
We shall see but so far I've been very happy with the support and level of contact throughout the process.
I'll know better once it arrives back, but after the returning (I think a previous owner jacked the internals around) and specified tuning to this coil (only one I'll be running on it for the forsee able future) I'm told it might be better than the new deleon because of how well this coil works with this control unit.
But I can understand that.
I've had issues in the past with companies and vendors and found it vest, for me personally, to just avoid doing business with them.
In my case and as of now as far as customer service all has been great with tesoro!!

that is my point you live in the USA I do not , that's what this is all about, they are a great US company and look after their US customers great for you guys, no so much for me here in Australia .

Well there are many many companies out there.
It's all about enjoying both using and having support for your detectors. So I understand your frustration.
 
thanks Stefan, I like their products , I do not like their attitude, so as I have said before the cheap detectors are plug and play and toss them when their done I might send an expensive one in and that's a big maybe.
one good thing is they are pretty bullet proof and unless someone has opened it up and fiddled not much can go wrong. so I roll the dice :biggrin:

Sucks about your bad experience with Tesoro amberjack. Tesoro has gone over the top for me. I'm in Canada, shipping to and from u.s. Is expensive. Sent a Cortes in once, cost me shipping there, they shipped it back and worked the way it should when it got here.
I had the nut fall off the toggle switch on my fisher 1265 once, so I robbed one off a golden sabre ll I had at the time. When I called Tesoro for some replacment battery packs for the GSll, I explained the toggle switch nut situation, they threw one in the package and sent it off. - free.
I HAVE SELDOM HAD REPEATED GOOD WARRANTY EXPERIENCES WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY LIKE TESORO HAS DONE.
 
Different coils can at times depending on soil conditions will require different settings from the detector to operate at it's fullest potential. I use the Troy Super 7" with my Troy X2 along with other manually ground-balanced Tesoros and it's a keeper in my book:thumbup: I've read some good comments about the Deleon and hope it matches up well with the Super 7"!

I sent the coil in to get fixed hadn't heard nothing for 6 weeks I put a note in with my details etc...

so I thought I had better ring them , so waited till 3 am or what ever it was here and when I am tired a speak Australian , so they picked up the ph, I said g'day mate just ringn about me coil I sent in to get fixed, they said what??
so I had to explain to them I was in Australia and I spoke Australian , I still have a giggle and see the funny side of it, guess they didn't and charged me 70 $ to send an unfixed coil back which was just split so anyway I dried it out and glued it up and it still works :biggrin:

so the moral to the story is ring Tesoro and speak full on Aussie and let em know AJ sent ya they will charge ya double and take ya nowhere :biggrin: cricky mate come the raw bag of prawns with me and that jibber jabber!!!

funny story though and I will tell it till the day I die its just how we are here :ausflag:

after all we did invent minelab to annoy the whole world :bouncy:

I've been told by other users as well as tesoro themselves that the super 7/deleon combo (as long as it's tuned for it internally) is a lethal combo.
I didn't know that with tesoros, the internals are set to the coil for best possible function.
Sure, you probably don't lose much by switching to other coils the detector accepts, but I don't plan on changing the coil on that one so I had them tune the internals especially for that coil. They said it will be great!!!
They're rebuilding/tuning the coil now. It was way out of whack which is normal for a 15 year old coil, but when it comes back both the coil and detector unit will be like brand new!!!
Can't wait!!

Haha they made the coil for troy, so they service them.
And none of this is free AJ. I had to pay.
 
I know who they made the coil for, the coil I wanted fixed was a Tesoro coil it has Tesoro written on it and they wouldn't fix it, and that wasn't free either I am out of pocket 150 $ and I got zero , sound like sour grapes , hit my pocket book and give me zero for it , I'm jumpin on those grapes :buds:

so yep I want my pound of flesh and if one person says no to Tesoro from another country because of my experience with them I hit their pocket book and then we are square :clapping:

its not about who's right or wrong its about equal for me and them.

recon we are close to square.

I guess I'll have to have some grapes also. Quite some time ago I sent my Sabre Supreme in for a "free" tune up,,,,, they sent it back with a note saying the meter was blown and there was no replacement, No apology,, Nothing. Made me sick as this was a vintage unit and looked brand new.

Well gents, I understand your issues with the company.
I would like to please ask that, if you have issues with them, please start another thread about it.
I love information as much as the next guy, but I don't like opening up these threads and hearing good things, only to read on to find trash talk.
Unless an OP for the thread has specifically asked for opinions about the product, service, or company as a whole, I don't see the point in hijacking the thread to bash them.
Most, me included, have had great experiences with them. It sucks that happened, but it seems that every thread I open on this company, at some point people seem to be trolling and bashing.
So please, not in my threads unless I've asked public opinion on the company.
As I said, if you want to vent, start a new thread.
But also, if you are that unhappy with them, why are you even reading and commenting in this companies thread at all? If I didn't like them, I wouldn't even be reading the tesoro topic.
J just don't see the good in going into someone's thread that is talking about being a happy and satisfied customer and bashing them. Most all that have replied either were congrats on the unit, comments about the function of the coil and detector, and mirroring experiences of how happy a customer they are.
If you choose to do it in other threads, fine.
Just not in mine, please.
I mean no disrespect, just starting to get bothered.

Just got word my deleon shipped home today!!!
Because it was internally set to that troy coil, I will use my other epsilon coils with my Bandido II I guess.
Might get away with a slightly smaller coil, but without GB, I was told it won't be as great as that troy because they're tuned together.
 
yeah but you cant swing em both at once, get that 7 on the b2 :clapping: that's what I was using in the video the 7" concentric just white not black its a kick but combo.

yes those 7" concentrics are the perfect size for park hunting coins and jewellery from my experience !!

look below I have a 7" concentric compadre used it like once its brand new have the box and all I cant bring myself to use it they are like how rare :yikes:
