I think that i may go back to Garrett GTI 2500 I had one years ago and man I loved it! But there was one issue I had it was digging deep iron I'm kind of tired of guessing and playing with settings and the time I have is minimal in the field any thoughts on this and are they still being serviced

You may wish to consider the Vortex. Being from the Garrett line, I would imagine that you'd find certain features familiar, plus it's much lighter in weight and waterproof if that ever becomes a consideration. Just a thought.... Good luck with whatever direction you go in.

How many metal detectors are you currently using? And yes, the GTI 2500 is still being serviced. It's the only unit that can attach to the 2 box unit where depth is measured in feet, not inches in fist sized targets. And it's the only unit that can size a target for you in the top 5 inches. I still have mine, the unite with treasure talk, where a female voice tells you the probability of a target and depth.
