Just installed the remote PP/Disc button on my Excal-WOW

Ron.... im curious why you didnt use the double connector caps they sell on f-bay as opposed to drilling? That was my only concern and the comment about ML. You have to love their CS.

Dew, i actually do have a double connector endcap coming from OBN. Would rather give him the money. However, because I wanted to preserve the electronics that are embedded in the factory endcap (just a "pop" suppressor I know, but still) and not have to redo the headphone connection for inside the pod, I decided to use small gauge wire and drill a small hole. I knew the way I was planning on sealing the small hole I would never have a problem with it leaking. Not working the shallows like I do. Heck, even deep diving I bet it would be fine the way I did the mod. I sealed both the inside and outside. The inside with gel coat resin (100% waterproof) and the outside with over an inch of Marine GOOP. I extended the heat shrink cap on the end of the pod with my own new heat shrink. Basically, the my new heat shrink formed a cup with the bottom being the face of the end cap. I filled the cup with the GOOP. No way it will leak. If I need to go in and do any more work on that area of the machine in the future I will have OBN's endcap to use as a replacement if necessary.
