I can not believe how many deck screws it took so far. Almost 10 lbs! My right hand is swollen from driving all the screws. I am having fun though as it comes together.

I live trapped three last year and I think four coon. I am going to try to block them with lattis. How ever you spell it anyway:shrug:

it got so every time I went out the door she was right there trying to escape. Well I finally said to hell with it and decided to let her out with me. What an adventure for her. I was setting out there talking to my daughter yesterday on the phone and the cat came flying past me and it looked like someone had tried to drown her. She was really hauling the mail and didn't stop until she got under the deck. Right behind her was a pizzed off Pilated Woodpecker. It seems that the cat was after the bird until the bird changed the tables on her and the cat took off. It seems the cat had never had any experience with a garden pond either:thumbup: Lucky she didn't drown!

Today I had finally gotten the deck finished and put the table and chairs back on it and was kicking back having a well earned adult beverage. There were three squirrels out in back and the cat saw them and started her stalk. She did pretty good too and got behind an old log and sat there, with her ears flattened out and tail a twitching. I had the video camera on her for a while but sat it down. She took that as a signal to attack I guess and went after the squirrel. I laughed my arse off at its attempt at catching that squirrel. If he had caught the squirrel I am afraid she would have learned her second lesson about wild animals in as many days! Then I had to listen to those dang scolding squirrels for the next half hour

I can picture it now.... rum in hand, cool breeze...

Well done Royal!!!

When I built our deck last year, I used treated yellow pine on the floor and then cedar for the rails. Kelley (Texas) :)

I need it in 16 ft lengths and I can not haul it with the pickup so I have to rent their truck. Sucks :(
