Just checked on my "Honey Hole", and it's wrecked.

We had some flooding due to Sandy, and my entire neighborhood has trees down everywhere. Power outages, etc. I was able to get out for a little to see how bad it was around the area, and drove to one of my hunting grounds. Trees were down everywhere. Debris all over the place. Doesn't look like it will be a safe place to hunt for quite some time. This storm was historic. We've never had a storm this big, or as bad plow through the Tri State area like Sandy. My heart goes out to everyone at the shore that lost their homes, and to everyone with property damage. Hope everyone is safe.

How you holding up bud?

I'm fine. Family is safe, friends are safe, minimal property damage within my closest circle, and I'm concerned for those majorly affected, but I wont be out hunting there for a bit. It's too dangerous. Maybe wait a few weeks until the weakened branches on some of the trees fall off. Still trying to wrap my brain around how epic this storm was. We'll all be telling our kids and grand-kids that we witnessed this one first-hand.

I can't imagine how the south east part of the state looks Ron.. I live in the central part and it was bad enough here...prayers to everyone east of me!

Ronfin,
Glad to hear that you and the family are safe and without great loss. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone that has been touched by this storm, I know that many are suffering and hopefully they will get help and relief soon.

Glad to hear you and yours are safe, Ron!!

Do you have any pics of the devastated honey hole?

I took some pics of all the downed trees. I'll pull'em off the phone and get'em up soon. It ws depressing trying to hunt yesterday. I only last an hour.
