Have had the Equinox 600 for a few years now, just ordered a new Nox 900.
But ... I keep coming back to my E-Trac.
There is something about the E-Trac I just cant seem to put into words.
Yes, it is heavy to swing and the display is dim and hard to see but the performance ... wow.
First off it is stable in the park or on the salt water beach ... it can hunt places where other detectors fail.
Then the tones ... after a while this machine starts talking to you.
You can hear the subtle differences between good and bad targets without looking at the numbers.
Perhaps this is why I like the E-Trac as much as I do.
Hoping the new Equinox 900 will have the same tonal qualities or perhaps I will need to spend hours learning its language.
If I can get that level of performance from it I will retire the E-Trac and pass it on to someone else.
For now the E-Trac is my most dependable detector.
