My 1st detector was a bounty hunter quick draw i got back in the mid 1970,s and i went to the beach and found a 1917 standing liberty quarter, and walking half, several mercs and buffalow nickles. I was going to buy the new simplex, but wanted the light , but thats not available , so i was forced to look at the BT with its big clunky coil and had no choice of coils , so i started looking around and came to the bounty hunter tracker 4. I think it will do great in the trash and at least its affordable and avalible.will post finds when i get it out ,

Of the BH's muffler on a stick models, I think it is their best. The digital ones were way too slow. I love the old Fisher 1212X when I want to keep it simple and I'm sure you'll have fun with the t4 as well.

I think it will do well Concentrics can do things the DD coils will not

I am very fond of this detector... The Radio Shack Discovery 1000 Is the same machine... The coils are interchangeable... The Tracker IV has a few remarkable tricks built in... I still have mine....

my 1st detector was a bounty hunter 2in the mid 70,s and i found more silver with it than my 500.00 machines
