I really dont understand this obsession that so many people have for turning something new into something old, or at least to something "else". The Equinox (600 for this discussion) is a GAME CHANGER. Its a $600 detector that equals my CTX for silver, and rivals anything I have ever owned in 35+ years for nailing deep (and extremely tiny) gold. Its at least as fast as the DEUS. On top of that, its waterproof design is better than the CTX's . It's 6 detectors in a single package. It's so light weight that it makes everything feel like swinging a hammer. ITS $600!!! We have NEVER NEVER NEVER had this much power, speed and flexibility such a tiny price. Why are people in such a hurry to change it? I guarantee you havent even come close to mastering it as it is, but you want to change it.

If you arent happy with the EQX, sell it, or don't buy it in the first place. Go find your dream detector and buy THAT. Me? I'll be out here continuing to hunt and continuing to pull deep silver and more nickels and gold than I ever have in 35 years.

Yep seems good to me I nailed some great silver today in a spot I hit with my Deus made my day!

Just think what it would mean if they had a little sd card slot or an internal note pad the you could save what you dug up at what depth and what the readings were.
You could list them in dimes, pennies, etc etc.
I think it would be a giant seller

Minelab's could use that concept to offer a mode whereby your EQUINOX of the future, will be personally programmable;

Imagine being able to configure more preferably any of the present modes; by using the SD-card data, to 'weight' a mode to better suit YOUR site, and soil.

Just collect interesting 'target data' at the press-of-a-button, before you dig it. Any worthwhile target could also be photographed;

Simply place it on the provided ledge in front of the detector's camera, and press the button.


Dump any unrequited data as you progress to the next target.

Use a 2-gig SD card for each of your sites if interest.
